Works closely with Clinical Quality and Occupational Health to meet our Quality Plan. Plays a key role in analyzing and maintaining the department's reporting infrastructure. Facilitates the PQRS reporting system, document control system, and patient satisfaction database. Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety. Participation in Compliance and other training is a condition of employment.

Primary Reponsibilites:
  • Contributes to and supports The Group's quality initiatives by planning, communicating, and encouraging team and individual contributions toward the corporation's quality improvement efforts
  • Identifies opportunities and interventions for process improvement
  • Interprets data and trends using appropriate analytical skills
  • Regularly summarizes and reports performance improvement activities to the Clinical Quality Director and Process Improvement Manager
  • Creates and maintains the Star Report and analyzes results for Clinical Quality Director and Manager, Process Improvement
  • Maintains the department's processes by analyzing and assisting the Clinical Quality Director and Medical Director of Informatics in identifying trends/area of specific concern.
  • Creates reports for presentation and dissemination to Executive Management Teams
  • Extract data and build reports Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) measures for CMS requirements
  • Participates in and/or leads work groups in special projects
  • Conducts weekly analysis of all grievance files and database logs and performs any necessary follow-up with internal customers and external agencies
  • Facilitates the patient dismissal process, PQRS reporting system, document control system, and patient satisfaction database
  • Collaborate with Occupational Health and Infection Control Manager to create program processes
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Experience with data entry, word processing and use of menu-driven computer applications
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination prior to employment to ensure compliance

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Quality Improvement experience
  • Infection Control experience
  • Knowledge of and experience in researching and/or auditing compliance with Federal, State, and local healthcare and other relevant regulations and guidelines
  • Ability to use personal computers and business, analytical, and data base software applications
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, prepare reports, and communicate effectively in person or in writing.
  • Ability to work independently, maintain a high level of confidentiality, and consistently demonstrate strong ethical/professional judgment.
