BAE Systems is growing - we are hiring a Project Manager in the Aerospace Vehicle Equipment (AVE) Division for an exciting opportunity to support the Air Force's acquisition of the next generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM). Reporting directly to the BAE Systems AVE Propulsion Branch Chief in support of the Air Force, this role is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to support the development and deployment of the next generation intercontinental ballistic missile.

This Project Manager will serve as an integral part of the Post-Boost Branch, working with a team of dedicated and experienced engineers in developing one of the primary stages of the ICBM. Duties include: develop and track team tasks; create and analyze schedules; create and maintain organizational products; author and coordinate reports; review and provide feedback to technical briefings; independently develop briefing materials; and other special projects including organizational efficiency studies and process improvement.

BAE Systems, located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah are closely aligned to the United States Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center. We support the Center in sustaining the existing LGM-30 Minuteman III (MM III) weapon system and acquiring its replacement, the LGM-35A Ground-Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD). Pursuant to Government contract, this position requires US Citizenship status.


Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • 7 years of demonstrated experience in management of defense systems, technology, or research and development activities.
  • Excellent cognitive, communication (both written and spoken), and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated self-discipline to plan and prioritize their own work with successful results
  • Proactive and creative problem solver with extreme attention to detail
  • Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance (or higher)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor or Graduate degree(s) in related technical or programmatic fields
  • Experience leading interdisciplinary teams
  • Extensive experience in building and applying model-based systems engineering
  • Extensive experience with DoD acquisition programs
  • ICBM Weapon System experience
