Job Description
At CVS Health, we have an exciting Senior Analyst, Regulatory opportunity within our Legal Department's Local Markets Legal group. As a Senior Analyst, Regulatory, you will support attorneys and business teams on legal and regulatory matters to advance the Company's business interests, with a primary focus on the state of California. You will work with attorneys and business partners on various projects, including legal research, regulatory filings, contract review and drafting, and overall project-management tasks. The ideal candidate for this position has a strong work ethic, exceptional organizational and communications skills, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace.

Under the direction and supervision of an attorney, the Senior Analyst, Regulatory will:

Conduct legal research and assist counsel in interpreting and advising on state and federal laws, regulations, and other regulatory requirements impacting the Company's healthcare business units, including the California Insurance Code and the California Knox-Keene Act.

Prepare, file, manage, and obtain approval of submissions with state regulatory agencies such as the California Department of Managed Health Care (DMHC) and the California Department of Insurance, in support of Company's contracts, programs, and initiatives, including the filing of vendor/subcontractor agreements, intercompany agreements, and provider agreements and related templates.

Assist with interpretation of regulatory requirements that may have business/operational impacts and assist with preparation of any associated regulatory filings.

Conduct investigative/fact-finding research and analysis regarding issues impacting healthcare business units (e.g., state/regulatory inquiries, provider/claim disputes/settlements, member appeals, etc.).

Work closely with, and provide advice to, business partners and other internal stakeholders (including provider network, Finance, Sales, Underwriting, and Actuarial teams) on legal and regulatory matters.
