As a Manager, Agile Product Owner - Telecommute you will be responsible for driving a variety of tasks and outcomes including: requirements facilitation, developing acceptance criteria and user stories, leading testing efforts, backlog refinement and sizing, supporting development during scrum and providing analysis and problem solving expertise as new opportunities arise. This role will partner closely with the Scrum Master and Engineering Leads.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within United States as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage the product delivery for the consumer-facing clinical product areas
  • Day-to-day collaboration and decision making with cross-functional agile teams - including architects, developers, scrum master, designers and business or subject matter representatives
  • Defining the requirements / user stories and acceptance criteria of a product feature
  • Performs testing validation of features against customer & business goals and acceptance criteria
  • Works closely with product leadership and business stakeholders to prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product
  • Works with engineering to align on feature sizing and delivery plans
  • Leads the release planning and sets expectations for delivery of new functionalities, creates presentations, release notes or demos of new functionality as needed
  • Supports operations and training leads in development of training materials, user guides, and FAQs for new product features and workflows
  • Ensure that the scrum team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared stories to work on
  • Partner with Product Manager to assess value and develop business cases of a given product feature to ensure work is aligned with the product strategy and focuses on maximum value
  • Defines and analyzes metrics that measure and benchmark product success
  • Ensure the data flows and functional & technical specifications are created as needed
  • Promote Agile product management processes, stays abreast of new emerging technology capabilities and leverages knowledge in contributing to product solutions

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Agile / Scrum Certified
  • 5+ years of experience working in with the product model or in a product organization
  • 5+ years of healthcare payer background
  • 5+ years of experience in Release Management

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven technical knowledge
  • Skilled at negotiating to compromise when stakeholders have competing interests
  • Self-starter with the ability to appropriately assess the need for independent decision-making verses leadership escalation
  • Ability to react to product adjustments and expectations promptly and efficiently
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $94,500 to $171,700. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
