Analyst, Project Management and Governance

The Analyst, Project Management and Governance is responsible for all aspects of assigned projects, ensuring the proper execution and maintenance of the Enterprise Project Management governance framework, and serving as a Scrum Master to one or more teams as needed. This position is responsible for coordination, planning, communication, monitoring, and the motivation of project teams to achieve high performance and quality in delivering projects. This position may be responsible for managing multiple projects in varying stages of the project lifecycle and collaborating with sponsors, stakeholders, team members, vendors, and other departments to support the timely delivery of projects. This position is also responsible for assisting with EPMO process improvement, documentation, and providing transparency and visibility into work efforts and outcomes.

  • Coordinate and support projects across multiple functional areas
  • Help define project strategy, scope, objectives, and stakeholders
  • Responsible for project documentation and status reporting
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and maintain delivery timelines, resource plans, project estimates, and project risk, issue, decision, and dependency documentation
  • Maintain project plan and work assignments in project management software
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with all internal and external stakeholders; provide proactive communication based on the needs of the individual or group
  • Facilitate all agile ceremonies for the scrum team(s)
  • Proactively assist scrum team in removing impediments; help drive process improvements and recommend best practices
  • Partner with Product Owner(s) to ensure continuous backlog refinement, grooming, and prioritization
  • Partner with Product Owners, Program Managers, Project Managers, and stakeholders to communicate delivery of work from the scrum team
  • Coordinate and support the definition, execution, monitoring, and controlling of the EPMO's governance framework
  • Help facilitate and maintain EPMO processes including project resource capacity planning, work intake, and EPMO reporting
  • Serve as the administrator for the EPMO tools (i.e., Rally, SharePoint)
  • Review and publish the bi-weekly project reports (i.e., reviewing, formatting, assisting project managers)
  • Support process and tool improvement efforts to strengthen and build upon existing EPMO capabilities by improving project management functions and developing new capabilities as appropriate
  • Provide support to management and other team members, as needed


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Management, Project Management, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field required
  • Experience as a Project Coordinator, Project Manager, or practicing ScrumMaster is required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with SharePoint and Rally (formerly CA Agile Central) or other agile software preferred
  • Prior experience leading scrum teams in a matrixed environment is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build strong positive working relationships with business and technology project teams
  • Knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, and continuous improvement, preferred
  • Ability to work independently and deliver a high-quality output
  • Ability to execute tasks in a rapidly changing and dynamic environment
  • Strong communication and team skills required
  • Agile or Project Management-related certifications a plus
