What you will do

Amgen is seeking a Manager Information Security to join Amgen's Cloud Security organization who will be reporting into the Global Information Protection Organization in Amgen and will be based in Tampa, FL, at Amgen's new Capability Center.

The Manager of Cloud Security will be working with the Cloud Security Program helping advance AWS Cloud governance and audit posture, providing remediation strategies and carrying out project activities to complete tactical objectives.
  • Work with GIP senior management to scope and prioritize information security initiatives aligned with Amgen's goals and objectives.
  • Provide leadership and day to day operational management, participate in troubleshooting sessions, run and handle critical issues plan continuous process improvement, coordinate and handle budgets for staff and other org specific functions/services.
  • Provide technical and governance oversight to all Cloud Security projects. Lead the analysis, design and implementation of all Cloud Security related projects and be responsible for their successful delivery while meeting the overall security and integrity of the solution.
  • Lead the team to practice and develop good documentation standards that include system requirement specifications, SOPs, design specifications and other documents based on organizational needs.
  • Define, provide, and improve measurement and analysis on the assigned services including the use of appropriate applications and tools for reporting.
  • Support Incident Response on security incidents including supplying to mock security incident exercises.
  • Lead efforts and participate in audits covering information security services and technologies.
  • This position requires after hours responsibilities and may require travel up to 5%.

  • Comprehensive experience with Amazon AWS, understanding of Identity and Access Management, Data Protection, Secure DevOps, Security Operations, and other security domains for Cloud.
  • Working/Emerging knowledge of Enterprise Cloud Solutions across IaaS, PaaS & SaaS. This may include: AWS, Azure, OpenStack, Cloud Foundry, Salesforce, Microsoft Office 365, Box, etc.
  • Good hand-on experience with AWS foundation services related to compute, network, storage, content delivery, administration and security, deployment and management, automation technologies.
  • Extensive experience architecting, designing and programming applications and RESTFUL Services in an AWS Cloud environment Experience architecting highly available systems that apply load balancing, horizontal scalability and high availability.
  • Experience with handling systems in a federally regulated environment with experience in compliance and regulations such as FDA/SOX, GxP, Privacy
  • Must be team-oriented, placing priority on the successful completion of team goals
  • Prior people management experience
  • AWS Certified Professional or higher


Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree

Or

Master's degree and 3 years of Information Security or Information Technology experience

Or

Bachelor's degree and 5 years of Information Security or Information Technology experience

Or

Associate's degree and 10 years of Information Security or Information Technology experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Information Security or Information Technology experience
