Parsons seeks qualified individuals to put forth their resume to assist us in winning a contract for the Washington Metro Area Transportation Authority , to upgrade lighting fixtures located in light rail stations throughout the DC area with energy-efficient lighting. Work is expected to last until August of 2023.

Upon Parsons being given Notice-To-Proceed, candidates that applied to this position and were given contingent offers will begin work. Announcement of award date is expected September 20, 2021 with Notice-To-Proceed occurring soon afterwards.

* Project Coordinator

* Project Lead

* Office Engineer - General Project/Contract Support (4 Positions)

* Office Engineer - Field Support/Coordination (2 Positions)

* Design Coordinator

* Construction Engineer - General (3 Positions)

* Construction Engineer - Electrical (3 Positions)

* Construction Engineer - Mechanical (2 Positions)

* Construction Engineer - Communication

* Field Inspector (8 Positions)

* Field Inspector - Electrical (2 Positions)

* Scheduler

This job posting is specifically for the position of Field Inspector of which eight candidates will be chosen.


* Maintain familiarity with plans and contract documents

* Inspect all phases of construction

* Prepare status reports

* Communicate with contractors regarding expected work performance and non-conformance of work

* Observe all field work for compliance with safety and quality standards


* Post-secondary education is preferred;

* A minimum of two years demonstrable experience in construction inspection;

* Demonstrable experience in civil/structural, mechanical, systems, fire protection, communication/IT, architectural, or track work inspection;

* Must be able to work nights and weekends, including holidays;

* Must be able to successfully complete WMATA's RWP training;

* Must be able to pass a Government background check;

* Must be able to work in confined spaces;

* Must have reliable transportation and must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license;

* May be required to travel out-of-state to conduct manufacturer inspections of facilities and witness any factory acceptance testing as required by the Quality Manager or WMATA Task Manager;

* Microsoft Office

* Be able to obtain OSHA 30-hour (Construction) certification, in-person training.


Not required, but would be preferable if candidates have:

* Familiarity with WMATA codes and standards

* WMATA Safety training

* Familiarity with WMATA QC process

* Familiarity with Procore software
