Sr. UAT Consultant

Role Value Proposition:

This position is responsible for supporting the User Acceptance Testing effort in a lead capacity. Acts as a lead between the business and IT personnel to support system enhancements and design activities. Reviews business solution documentation and designs testing strategies to appropriately validate the overall successful implementation. Supports projectsuntil deployed to production and post-implementation testing has been completed.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Works independently to manage multiple medium to large complex projects.
  • Provides oversight and direction to UAT Testers (includes offshore and onshore) for multiple projects ensuring requirements traceability and timely defect management.
  • Review and plan for UAT team resourcing, consulting with the Manager as needed.
  • Supports the Manager in User Acceptance Testing Methodologies and metrics.
  • Creation of detailed project documentation and plans (where applicable), including Scope definition, testing approach, test plans and scripts, schedules, communications, stakeholder presentation and sign off documentation.
  • Responsible for tracking and resolving project issues and escalating issues appropriately and on a timely basis.
  • Working with other Analysts, Consultants and Project Leads as required supporting processes, applications, tasks and projects.
  • Provide input to Managers on UAT testers' performance.
  • Supports training of teams and partners of the UAT process.
  • Own overall test strategy, drive test execution and provide a holistic test status
  • Documenting and facilitating approval of Test Plans
  • Reviewing, documenting and facilitating approval of UAT Testing Scenarios, Test Scripts and Test Data
  • Coordinate with IT TeST on test strategy, test planning, test scenarios, test scripts, test data and defect management
  • Supporting Operational and Deployment Readiness activities

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills :

  • Broadknowledge of supported business functions, processes, procedures, workflow, systems and transactions
  • 8-10years of related work experience
  • Knowledge ofsystem design processes, methodologies and testing process
  • Strong project and program management skills, including change management skills. Ability to plan, organize, and lead the execution of projects with offshore resources.
  • Ability to influence within own team and with partners and senior management.
  • Champions change within theUser AcceptanceTesting Organization.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and support project team.
  • Ability to prioritize work to maximize results.
  • Ability to work as a partner with various management levels and cross enterprise.
  • Ability to identify risks to project success and recommend course of action to prevent risk from negatively impacting the project
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills
  • Strong understanding of the business including end-to-end processes and outputs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong Knowledge of UAT /Quality Control methodologies and tools.
  • Strong knowledge of current process and technology in place to support the existing Customers.

  • Bachelor's degree in related field

  • Experience in preparing and delivering Customer presentations.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

  • Strong understanding of PDCA (Plan Do Check Act) Principles and the ability to recognize when these principles should be applied.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft tools (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Ultra Edit).
