If you are located within 30 miles of Downers Grove, IL, you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Review outstanding insurance balances to identify and resolve issues preventing finalization of claim payment, including coordinating with payers, patients, and clients when appropriate
  • Analyze and trend data to recommend solutions to improve first pass denial rates and reduce age of overall AR
  • Make use of and develop an understanding of the whole accounting cycle/claim life cycle
  • Use an in-depth working knowledge of the various applications associated with the workflows
  • Ensure all workflow items are completed within the set turn-around-time within quality expectations
  • Analyze EOBs and denials at a claim level in addition to finding trends impacting dollar and numbers, leading to process improvements
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • High school Diploma or GED
  • 3 + years of professional experience in medical accounts receivable
  • 3+ years of experience in medical denials
  • 2+ years of experience with appeal payor process
  • 2+ years of experience with payors and payor portals

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of EPIC platform
  • Knowledge of Illinois market, insurance plans
  • Experience with Excel reporting
