Reporting directly to the Managing Director/CIO of Asset Management-Financial Management-Corporate Technology, the VP, Information Systems, PGIM Shared Services Technology will be responsible for a portfolio of shared applications leveraged by PGIM (Prudential Global Investment Management). This team provides tools to support the Global Investment Operations Teams, PGIM Asset Management Affiliates, and stakeholders across the enterprise. The suite of applications includes investment accounting and reporting, plan accounting, PGIM document management, and a host of critical business processes. This role is also responsible for positioning and enhancing these technical capabilities to meet emerging business needs, technology, and regulatory changes. The VP, Information Systems, PGIM Shared Services Technology and team will also play a critical role in supporting large, business critical programs and/ or initiatives that have high business visibility, impact and/or risk and complexity (i.e, M&A).

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Partnering with senior business management to provide recommendations on the optimal use of existing data/application or enhancements to their operating model, procedures, or controls. Mange the overall support for a portfolio of business-critical applications. Provide subject matter business/technical expertise to proactively identify and solve the most complex client challenges.
  • Oversight of the application technology teams to assure the successful delivery of large, complex, mission critical business and technology projects,accountable for the performance of theteam's function
  • Leading, developing, and growing PGIM Shared Technology talent; providing career growth/development opportunities, while contributing to an innovative and inclusive culture.
  • Balancing between day to day high level operational execution and development of the strategic direction of the technology infrastructure.
  • Ensuring new technology and business initiatives are aligned to organization-wide target architecture
  • Managing strategic vendor relationships, technology budget, prioritization, and risk controls
  • Ensuring controls and standards are in place and adhered to for the organization. Partner with internal and external audit/risk teams to validate systems processes/controls, models, and automated controls (SOX).

  • 10 + years of experience in Information Systems Management with demonstrated success as an Information Technology executive in the investments industry. Knowledge of investment management is required.
  • Experience being directly responsible for managing the technologies and applications required across the broad range of critical business functions inherent in the global investment management industry such as investment accounting, Regulatory Reporting, Plan or Fund accounting, Trading, Performance, risk management, portfolio management.
  • Broad and deep experience in developing and implementing strategic and tactical systems plans with a successful track record of partnering with the business; Proven record of delivering business transformational initiatives.
  • A leader who fosters an environment focused on teamwork, high-performance, accountability, innovation and growth; not afraid to ‘roll up the sleeves’ and seeks to go outside comfort zone to learn – pushes the team to do the same.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, persistence, and resilience; comfort with and ability to thrive on and drive change while navigating ambiguity.
  • Objective, diplomatic team player with excellent collaboration, networking, and influencing skills, as well as credibility and commitment to building trust and developing relationships.
  • Executive level vendor management skills; with proven results in delivering business value at a fair and reasonable cost.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to aggregate, interpret and translate complex business challenges into business models, process, and technology solutions in alignment with enterprise goals.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
