ROLE SUMMARY

Sourcing & Operations Enablement delivers world-class procurement capabilities to Pfizer, partnering with internal Pfizer customers to ensure they receive maximum value for every dollar spent with Pfizer suppliers.We accomplish this by executing effective strategic processes, including category management, supplier management and sourcing projects, all supported by efficient procure to pay processes. We add value by aligning Pfizer with the best suppliers, promoting continuous improvement in supplier performance and driving compliance with Pfizer's intellectual property and privacy requirements. We strive to obtain the right price for the right product or service.

Working as part of a team of Sourcing & Operations Enablement professionals, the Associate/Senior Associate position is responsible for providing the complex analytical support needed for developing and measuring team metrics, internal spend and savings, external supplier financials and information, market and economic dynamics and procurement processes. The role will support the Sourcing and Operations Enablement - Supply Assurance and Third Party Risk Management Team. The incumbent will have the ability to design, execute, interpret and summarize the results of large data sets and defend results of their own work using technical presentations with internal and external stakeholders. The individual will be able to make independent contributions to the development or application of new technologies. The Associate/Senior Associate will work independently to initiate, develop, plan and evaluate multiple projects or initiatives. The individual will collaborate extensively with the PGS Procurement Team including, senior PGS Procurement leaders, category strategy managers, regional and site procurement leaders, and cross functional teams, such as Finance, Corporate Quality and Compliance, Environmental Health and Safety, Operational Excellence, Digital, etc. The successful candidate displays strong initiative and has commitment to lead, plan and execute projects successfully.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The key tasks include, but are not limited to:

I - Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Support as requested the consolidation, analysis and reporting of globally produced data in support of: annual budget process, supplier performance and quality management, departmental budget management, supplier and market analysis, opportunity assessment, standard cost development, Purchase Price Variance (PPV) tracking and savings initiatives. (e.g. Monthly PGS Procurement Progress vs. Target Tracking, Annual Direct Material Budget Site Consolidation Support & Analysis, Savings Target Development Support, LROA Process Analysis & Reporting.)
  • Implement tools and processes for visibility of spend, savings and other performance metrics.
  • Prepare discussion content (summary level or detail level) as needed for team meetings, stakeholder discussions, etc.
  • Assist as assigned, with gathering and analyzing market trends and data. Prepare Quarterly Commodity Trend Reports, Annual Conflicts Minerals Review.
  • Extract and manage data from ERP, Quality, procurement and reporting systems to support PGS Procurement activities, and follow up with PGS Procurement colleagues as needed.
  • As necessary, prepare materials for communications within PGS Procurement and Sourcing & Operations Enablement.
  • Interface with ERP systems (SAP,E1) as needed, to review impacts of key workstreams
  • Produce data analysis reporting in appropriate format for use by Procurement colleagues and business stakeholders as requested.
  • Coordinate financial reporting activities. Prepare Functional & HC Annual Budget, Quarterly LE, Monthly Forecast & Tracking.
  • Develops innovative solutions to collecting and tracking large amounts of data.
  • Understand data collection principles and confirm source of data
  • Use statistical tools to identify trends in quantitative data
  • Synthesize quantitative data to draw business conclusions
  • Utilize data to identify opportunities and develop business cases
  • Maintain content and controls for S&ES PGS Procurement utilizing, OneDrive, Teams and/or SharePoint and provide input to the S&ES Portal, as required
  • Support the roll-out and communication of new and amended procurement policies and procedures
  • Assist in coordinating team specific reporting and collaboration tools; including Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint repositories
  • Provide, as requested, program management and analytical support of S&ES and PGS Procurement's Supplier Engagement and Supplier Risk and Vulnerability teams.


II - People management and development:
  • Act as a mentor to Associate colleagues to support their growth and development.


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business discipline, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or other related field is required; Masters level degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 2-4 years Associate related pharmaceutical work experience in Procurement discipline is required.
  • Experience managing multiple tasks, competing priorities and conflicts; producing value added results
  • Experience with problem solving situations; includes approaches used, tools, tactics used; managing for effective outcomes
  • High competency with analytical, collaboration and reporting tools (including BI reports, SMART Stats, Tableau, Alteryx, MS Tools - Teams, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Project)
  • Fundamentals of Project Management, including experience leading projects
  • Understanding of analytical models and techniques
