Supply Chain Digital & Analytics is charged with ensuring our stakeholders have access to the data, insights, and innovations required to deliver against our Supply Chain Digital Strategy. Tasked with supporting a rapidly expanding set of projects and analytical demand, we are seeking a Data Scientist, who can help advance the field within the Supply Chain Organization and deliver meaningful solutions that strive to solve our biggest challenges.

What you will do:

  • Help to establish and build our internal capability for Data Science, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (ML). You will help to upskill the broader team and bring awareness to the value Data Science offers our global supply chain.
  • Innovator, leading analytics projects and working with our Supply Chain Customers to solve meaningful challenges, that result in breakthroughs in understanding our business and driving results, impacting Customer Service, Efficiency, Cost, and Sustainability.
  • Collaborate with DNA team members and cross-functional peers to identify the use cases and data required to solve problems. You will need to know the right approach to address those use cases, be able to defend your methods, and how to translate and present the result into that which can easily be understood by all stakeholders.
  • Play a meaningful role in shaping the future of analytics in the supply chain organization. You will engage with key stakeholders in operations and IT to advance the quality of analysis and data science capabilities.


  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., applied mathematics, computer science, physics, economics, engineering, statistics, operations research, quantitative social science, etc.).

  • Minimum of two years experience in the areas of Operations Research and/or Supply Chain Projects (demand planning & forecasting inventory, optimization, network design, segmentation, and S&OP) in sophisticated and complex environments
  • Minimum of two years experience in advanced statistical modeling, machine learning, data mining, unstructured data analytics incorporate and/or academic research environments
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a minimum of two years of experience with data science tools, including Dataiku or SAS, and two years of developing machine learning methods, including familiarity with techniques in clustering, regression, optimization, recommendation, neural networks, and others.
  • Basic Knowledge of software development principles and architecture.
  • Ability to break down and understand complex business problems, define a solution, and implement it using advanced quantitative methods.
  • Familiarity with programming for data analysis; ideally Python, SQL, or R.

  • Consulting (internal or external) experience
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience
  • Supply Chain experience with a focus on Plan and/or Deliver
  • Proven knowledge in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, and other relevant technical domains
  • Possess a blend of advanced analytical capabilities and consulting expertise that will create value and insights for our clients and experience in leading teamwork in delivering analytics solutions or Master's degree in a quantitative field, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or related field
