Sr Compliance Consultant - Metrics, Reporting, & Emerging Risks

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Head of Compliance Metrics, Reporting and Emerging Risks, this role will assist in developing and implementing meaningful compliance risk metrics and reporting across the enterprise, with a specific focus on leveraging automation, machine learning, and data analytics to achieve these objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and implementation of a global compliance metrics reporting program to provide insights into key risk areas across the enterprise
  • Develop and implement statistical analysis models to utilize machine learning and predicative analytics in addressing compliance risks
  • Interpret and translate compliance metrics into compelling and insightful data presentations and visualizations that effectively communicate key trends across risk areas, business lines, and countries of operation
  • Leverage technology to create efficiencies and automation in ETL (extract, transform, load) data functions
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and track key metrics to assess the effectiveness of compliance programs and initiatives
  • Work closely with Technology and Operations partners to provide strategic guidance and oversight in data mining and warehousing initiatives
  • Act as a thought leader by seeking out new, cutting-edge technology to further enhance data analytics and reporting capabilities
  • Identify, select, and manage external vendor relationships, as needed

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience
  • 7+ years of relevant data analytics, compliance, risk management, legal or audit experience
  • Working knowledge of various data analysis methods and platforms (e.g., Python, Alteryx, Microsoft Power BI, IBM Cognos, Qlik)
  • Program and project management skills, including experience leading large and complex projects
  • Collaborative mindset, with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Previous financial services-related compliance or risk management role
  • Experience with data-intensive reporting and automation functions
  • Advanced degree in Data Science, Analytics, or comparable
