Job Description

The Senior Business Insights Analyst will provide day to day support for analytical requests and reporting needs from the Card Product Marketing team and the US Bankcard line of business. The role will act as a key liaison managing those partner relationships and will focus primarily on Card account management programs including balance transfer, spend stimulation, loyalty and behavior-based trigger programs. The Senior Business Insights Analyst should be prepared to review data sources, support development of marketing campaigns/programs with data-driven insights and measure the impacts of marketing.

Act as the primary interface with Card Product Marketing to bridge and translate business requirements to analytics and reporting needs for Card account management and engagement programs
Collaborate with business leads to review Card program objectives and propose key performance indicators to measure the impact of those programs. Also review data requirements to translate key performance indicators into data driven metrics which can be tracked on a regular basis.
Evaluate the impact of activation and engagement strategies, balance transfer, spend stimulation, loyalty and behavior-based trigger programs, and produce customer-level analytics to determine the true value of credit card customers acquired
Propose audience targeting and segmentation recommendations based on behavior analytics to maximize return on investment for Marketing programs
Understand data requirements and provide guidance for data ingestion needs to support Card Account management program efforts
Present and communicate generated insights and recommended business actions to business leaders in an easily digestible manner
Apply collaborative and strong stakeholder management approach to constructively influence and persuade stakeholders and partners where appropriate

Job Requirements


  • Undergraduate degree or specialization in one of the fields below

  • 3 + years of relevant experience from a information management, statistical, mathematical, scientific or financial background or Graduate Degree and 1-3 years relevant experience.

  • Proficient PC skills including a strong competency in MS Excel and PowerPoint, and a variety of analytical and reporting software packages

  • Strong knowledge of programing languages (i.e. SAS/SQL/R, Visual Basic, Python)

  • Strong analytical and program solving skills are required to interpret data and draw conclusions

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
