Department Overview

The Motorola Solutions Cybersecurity Business Operations group provides business intelligence, contracts administration, sales operations, and program management services to Motorola Solutions' Cybersecurity organization. For nearly a century, Motorola Solutions has engineered groundbreaking mission-critical technology solutions for the U.S. Federal Government. Job Description

The Contract Manager is responsible for managing the contracting process from beginning to end, including preparing Non-Disclosure Agreements and Teaming Agreements, reviewing RFPs, proposal drafting, and drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and resolving contract disputes, and administering contract close-outs . This position will be responsible for the complex administrative tasks associated with implementing awarded task orders and contracts. The Contract Manager works with internal organizations to limit commercial risk, margin erosion and ensure compliance with internal policies such as order and revenue recognition. These roles also work to secure procurement agreements on terms that limit MSI's risk.
  • Support all aspects of MSI's sale and provision of services to the federal government.
  • Assist in responding to customer solicitations such as requests for proposals, invitations to bid, and proposals submitted in response to such solicitations.
  • Complete complex administrative tasks associated with implementing awarded task orders and contracts.
  • Maintain contract files and communicate with government Contracting Officers.
  • Research and assist contract managers and attorneys in preparing for customer negotiations over both contract terms and contract disputes. Monitor and help ensure compliance with requirements associated with doing business with the government. Participate in internal and external compliance audits.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and cybersecurity laws and regulations.
  • Business acumen, effective oral and written communication skills, strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with limited supervision in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
  • Experience in public sector contracting.
  • An active Top Secret security clearance is preferred.


Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Experience with federal government contracting.
