Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking systems integration engineer candidate with senior level (8 plus years) experience with identifying and defining requirements, designing, developing, installing, configuring, testing, and implementing information systems technology solutions to large-scale federal enterprise environments.

The candidate will function as the lead engineer for the implementation and Tier 3-level support of Microsoft SCCM 2012 and SCCM current branch versions 1511+ in an environment which consists of over 10,000 user desktop workstations, laptops, and servers. The candidate will also support the Operating System (OS) patching infrastructure such as WSUS as it applies to mandatory security updates to the enterprise in addition to offering recommendations for improving/enhancing the current software distribution processes and procedures.

The candidate should have an understanding of how to configure the software update point role (SUP). This is used in the environment for reporting purposes. In the Lab environment the OS images (WIMs) are patched using WSUS.
In this role you will:
  • Manage and troubleshoot all SCCM related deployments and issues
  • Maintain situational awareness of current security posture of all computer systems and hosted applications.
  • Work closely with the Program Security Analyst to remediate vulnerabilities, such as patching and configuration changes.
  • Participate in meetings of Windows, Linux, and Application engineers to ensure the tracking and resolving of vulnerabilities.
  • Report on progress of remediation efforts through SCCM, and when vulnerabilities cannot be remediated in a timely fashion, support Waiver documentation to alert senior leadership of risks, justification, and compensating control measures.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Experienced in the installation, configuration, and utilization of MS SCCM 2012 and SCCM current branch versions 1511+ to deploy/patch software packages to thousands of desktop workstations, laptops, and servers.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SCCM 2012 and SCCM current branch versions 1511+, including:
    • Architecture
    • Sites
    • Collections Distribution points
    • SCCM database
  • Windows Server 2012R2, Server 2016, Server 2016 Core plus Active Directory
  • MDT deployment technologies
  • Utilization of change management/change control processes and procedures.
  • Proven experience in documenting system requirements, design, implementation, and operations document deliverables.
  • Experience creating advertisements, collections, packages, applications within SCCM
  • Scripting and orchestration: PowerShell, VB Scripts, and Ansible
  • Analyzing and troubleshooting software application and network component issues.
  • Performing technical evaluations of client computing software, hardware, and management solutions
  • Developing automated and documented processes and procedures to simplify operational activities
  • Developing design and operational documents for supported applications
  • Providing technical support to applications and utility developers regarding integration into the operating environment. For example: ServiceNow
  • Collaborating with management, engineering, and internal customers
