Primary Responsibilities:
  • Strategic enterprise level initiatives for multiple portfolios, and managing initiatives involving multiple geographies, delivery sites and functions within OGAdv
  • Alignment to business and/or product strategy, effective design and development, and ongoing management of capability portfolio across the full lifecycle to ensure business-specific or cross-enterprise impact
  • Market insights are leveraged to monitor trends and external landscape, and to inform capability strategies and customer use case scenarios
  • Accountable for delivering sustainable, financially sound solutions that solve a specific problem and enable successful external product delivery and/or internal business function performance, while driving adoption with internal business clients and define future capability direction that supports business strategy and new opportunities
  • Conducting regular refinement/grooming sessions with fellow capability leaders within Optum Global in order to capture operational, technical and/or business support opportunities to be delivered by Optum Global Advantage
  • Develop detailed project plans, program charters that ensure cost benefit analyses is conducted. Provide back-up support for due diligence and pre-assessment engagements for new/existing lines of business relationships
  • Execute on functional, market level and/or site strategy plans as well as organizational priorities
  • Create comprehensive communication plans and escalation matrix to establish a framework to ensure all escalations are addressed timely
  • Monitor program / project ensuring risks / issues are addressed timely and respective stakeholders are looped in to mitigate
  • Maintain a cadence for daily / weekly / monthly update meetings with key stake holders
  • Create a mechanism to call out Red Flags that may impact the project / program delivery
  • Follow up regularly with stakeholders to take feedback and check on progress
  • Ensure services are delivered within time and budget constraints and meet the expected level of quality
  • Review the outcomes of programs and initiatives to determine any corrective actions that could be taken to improve future delivery in terms of Cost, Quality, Timelines and Customer satisfaction
  • Drive continuous improvement opportunities by sharing best practices, automation, operational efficiencies
  • Develop and present solution recommendations to clients

Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in Team management, project management and/or process management - tracking, planning projects
  • 8+ years of experience presenting assessment outcomes and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Agile/PMP/Six Sigma project management leadership experience
  • Proficiency with professional productivity tools (ex. - Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Teams)
  • Track record of working collaboratively across multiple teams / departments to achieve business growth or profitability goals
  • Ability to speak clearly and concisely, convey complex information in a manner that others can understand and to understand and interpret complex information
  • Demonstrated Experience in the following:
    • Leading initiatives like cost reduction, operational efficiencies, commercial models
    • Aligning an enterprise-wide view to tangible, strategic objectives and goals
    • Managing large teams cross-functional teams through influence (Matrix Organization)
    • Managing multiple projects in parallel
    • Financial acumen, including cost benefit analysis/cost models
    • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
    • Managing Programs with multiple projects embedded multi geographical within one large program


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • BPO experience preferred

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut and/or Nevada residents is $110,200 to $211,700. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
