At GSK, we are following the science of anemia to better understand how to help these patients, who are often undiagnosed and undertreated. Daprodustat belongs to a new class of medicines that is being investigated to treat anemia in CKD patients. +Daprodustat has the potential to be a new oral treatment for patients with anemia due to CKD in both non-dialysis and dialysis settings. GSK's Specialty team is looking for a Specialty Field Vice President who can lead with a new and innovative approach to exceeding customer's expectations. You will report to the National Head of Sales. This is an exciting opportunity to join the new GSK and make a positive impact on the lives of ~1.5M patients with CKD. In addition to building, coaching and inspiring a high performing Specialty Renal sales team you will be accountable for: Attracting, recruiting and retaining high caliber team members. Providing effective management and leadership of direct and indirect reports including coaching and career development discussions. Providing leadership, coaching, in field support, guidance and operational direction to a team of Regional Sales Directors. Developing and executing a cross functional business plan that is aligned to brand strategy and tactical objectives. Driving a culture of sales excellence and continuous improvement. Directing and driving successful launch of new GSK Specialty asset(s) and delivering optimal sales and growth for specialty medicines. Acting as a role model demonstrating our GSK values and expectations to internal employees and external stakeholders in the medical, payer, and patient communities. Keeping up to speed on developments in the renal anemia therapeutic area including a detailed and current understanding of the disease and treatment landscape & competitor activity as well as keeping up to date with GSK pipeline products and activities. Building strong relationships with cross functional partners (Regulatory, Market Access, Medical, Legal & Compliance) This is a critical leadership role with over-arching responsibility for developing a new sales function that will ultimately empower and support the performance of our Specialty Renal business. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree Minimum 11 years pharmaceutical sales experience Minimum 5 years pharmaceutical specialty management experience Proven track record of consistent high performance Ability to travel domestically as necessary, which may include overnight travel A valid driver's license and safe driving record Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree Product launch experience 2+ years experience in nephrology and/or cardiovascular and/or diabetes 2+ years in a management/staff/headquarters position Experience developing, implementing, executing and measuring success with accounts and formulary decisions Well-developed financial and commercial acumen A superior motivator, communicator, team builder and leader Virtual sales experience Why GSK?
