Job Description

BAE Systems in Summerville, SC is seeking a Program Manager- Vehicle Integration for one of our Integrated Defense Solution's business units.

Integrated Defense Solutions (IDS) provides expert systems engineering, integration, and sustainment services for combat and weapon systems, C4ISR systems, cyber domains, missions assurance, and enterprise IT that enhance mission effectiveness.

In the role of Program Manager- Vehicle Integration you will lead one or more DoD contracts / programs for C5ISR systems engineering, logistics, production/integration, installation/testing and/or field support services on tactical / military vehicles.

As a direct report to the business unit's Operations Director, you will lead a multi-disciplinary team charged to deliver and support critical mission capabilities. You will be a proven performer in managing all aspects of large programs to ensure achievement of financial, schedule, technical, quality, safety and security performance objectives while managing customer relationships and delivering outstanding customer experiences. This role will be responsible for planning, staffing, budget, schedules, scope management, risk and opportunity management, and team coordination. As a Program Manager, you are also responsible for achieving new business performance objectives through participating in business development, capture planning, and bid/proposal activities in the support of new business winning. This includes leveraging your existing network of Government customers and industry partners within the Navy (NAVWAR/NIWC) and Army communities and having the ability to grow your network over time to align with higher level corporate strategies and long range integrated business plans.



Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Education:
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Management Information Systems, or Business
Experience:
  • Fifteen (15) years of technical experience in support of relevant technical field to include: Equipment Support, System Support, and Programmatic Support, including at least:
    • five (5) years of experience with Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) systems engineering, logistics, integration, installation and/or sustainment support services projects for military / tactical vehicles.
    • eight (8) years of Program Management / Operations management experience to include: Technology Assessments, Systems Design, Systems Analysis, Programmatic Support, Acquisition Planning, and Budget Planning.
    • five (5) years as manager of task specific projects / departments including demonstrated experience in supervising, directing, reviewing/coordinating, monitoring and assessing work performed by direct reports, or by other contractor staff, while maintaining effective liaison with Government technical and contracting personnel.
    • three(3) years experience supporting new business development, capture planning, and bid/proposal activities in the support of new business winning.
    • Note: Above experience may be concurrent
Skills / Certifications:
  • Active Security Clearance (Secret)
  • Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Prior Program / Project Profit and Loss responsibility
  • Established network of contacts within the U.S. Navy (e.g.- NAVWAR & NIWC Atlantic / NIWC Pacific) and U.S. Army communities
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR),and DoD procurement policies and procedures


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Masters Degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Management Information Systems, or Business
  • Strong network of both Government and industry potential partners
  • Active Top Secret security clearance
