WGL - Energy Efficiency Program Analyst

WGL is seeking a Energy Efficiency Analyst to p rovide data analysis and reporting support to monitor performance and maintain regulatory compliance for Washington Gas' Energy Efficiency (EE) Programs.

You WIll

  • Perform data analysis and reporting activities that support the operation and performance of residential, commercial & industrial (C&I), and income-qualified EE programs.
  • Extract, manage, and optimize data from various databases to multiple program implementers and end users.
  • Analyze equipment, installation costs and incentives for customer education purposes.
  • Support efforts to ensure internal and external reporting, including Evaluation, Measurement and Verification (EM&V) process.
  • Collaborate with EE program leads to monitor and analyze program performance and support program initiatives and outreach.
  • Collaborate with EE marketing leads to develop and manage data driven marketing campaigns and activities, such as email campaigns and account-based marketing tactics.
  • Develop standard reports, metrics and forecasts to enhance EE Program tracking.
  • Monitor, measures and analyzes the performance of the EE program portfolio and pilot initiatives.
  • Interact with vendors, suppliers and customers to troubleshoot program and data management issues.
  • Contribute to key research and analytical findings via white papers, presentations and other materials for internal and external use.
  • Conduct market and operations research to provide insights on trends and industry best practices.
  • Perform other projects or special assignments as required.


Must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Business Analytics, or another related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Experience performing data mining and quantitative analyses.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with advanced functions of MS Excel.
  • Proven ability to effectively use other Microsoft Office suite applications including Access, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and effective working relationships with business partners, supervisors, and peers.
  • Demonstrated ability to present ideas logically and concisely to diverse internal and external audiences at all organizational levels, both verbally and in writing.


Prefer to have:

  • Energy industry and energy efficiency experience.
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases.
  • Experience using dashboarding and data visualization platforms (Visio and/or Power BI).
