As a OptumRx Growth Strategy & Insights analyst, you will be vital to OptumRx's success and to driving future growth by providing analytical support to the OptumRx Growth organization. By creating innovative data analytics and narratives, you will help the OptumRx market leaders identify opportunities for performance improvement, make data-driven decisions, and help the sales team hit their revenue and margin goals.

This position requires prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast-paced production environment, an investigative personality with sharp analytical skills who is interested in interpreting complex data for informed decision-making and finding answers; and a relentless attention to detail coupled with a willingness to 'roll up one's sleeves' and assist wherever needed. The ideal candidate is self-directed with the ability to thrive in an unstructured environment; agile in ambiguity, with an ability to persevere and adapt under pressure

This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

Primary responsibilities:

Partner closely with the OptumRx market presidents and sales leaders to:
  • Support development of growth/sales analysis and updates, inclusive of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews for pipeline management, path-to-goal modeling, win/loss analysis for new business and renewals.
  • Support development of ad-hoc reports, including segment analytics and market sizing. Present actionable recommendations to Market Presidents and Sales Leadership based on sales/growth analytics.
  • Analyze and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for the OptumRx growth team and five segments.
  • Support Director in development of OptumRx target, sales and quota setting process across the five markets, in close partnership with the OptumRx Growth Office and the Optum Growth & Commercial office.
  • Support the Associate Director in partnering with the Growth Analytics & Reporting (GAR) team to identify, develop, and improve new and existing reporting for the OptumRx Growth Office.
  • Create compelling presentations, data visualizations, and dashboards to communicate insights to growth leaders and executive stakeholders.
  • Manage annual sales incentive program (the CEO challenge), including providing analytics as well as developing communication to market leaders and the field.
  • Continuously strive to develop new, fresh, and creative ways of analyzing and presenting KPIs in both a visually and verbally engaging dynamic.
  • Extract, aggregate and quality assure data from multiple sources to translate raw information/data into actionable strategies and initiatives to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet tight deadlines.
  • Provides ongoing communications on project status, results, and conclusions.
  • Desire to lead, inspire and take on a leadership role.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • Ability to work Monday-Friday any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in developing and publishing innovative and reliable sales/retention analytics
  • Advanced experience with SalesForce , Microsoft Excel (create and edit spreadsheets) and Microsoft PowerPoint (create, edit, and format presentations)
  • Experience with sales, client management, and sales operations

  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $64,800 to $116,000. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $71,400 to $127,400.
