PSEG is seeking an intern within the corporate Human Resources Department for the summer of 2022.
Human Resources supports the business functions across the enterprise in areas that include: Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Health and Safety, Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Benefits Administration, Compensation, and Data Analytics. As companies reorganize to gain a competitive edge, HR plays a key role in helping companies deal with an ever-changing environment and the greater demand for quality employees and business continuity.

Job Responsibilities

  • The primary function for this role is to assist with several ongoing and anticipated projects. Potential assignments may involve work to support HR communication management and assist in the development of talent management tools, learning and development projects and strategy deployment. There is an opportunity to gain valuable exposure to several areas of the employee lifecycle such as: Engagement within PSEG’s corporate culture; improving the employee experience through the use of various media and technology, and; growing your PSEG career through the many development/learning programs and resources. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is able to prioritize multiple projects and bring their new ideas to the table.
  • This position will be remote with the possibility of occasional on-site meetings as needed - Subject to change based on CDC guidelines and safety protocols.


Job Specific Qualifications

  • Required Education/Skills : The successful candidate (s) must be actively pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Human Resource Management, Leadership/Organizational Management, Psychology, or similar related major. All candidates must have completed sophomore year prior to the start of the summer internship program. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent


Preferred Skills:

All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week over the summer period for the full 10-12 week period. We are targeting: Currently enrolled students, able to commute to the assigned work location as needed. Housing, transportation, and/or immigration support will not be provided in association with these positions.
