Job Description

Join the Capital Planning and Stress Testing team within Enterprise Capital Management in the Finance division. The team isresponsible for analyzing, forecasting and interpreting regulatory capital and profit & loss (P&L)implications under expected baseline and stress economic scenarios. In this role, you will collaborate with team members to prepare financial and regulatory capital analytics, evaluate scenario analysis trends and identify key business strategy takeaways. The team manages the Enterprise-level stress testing program, including regulatory Dodd-Frank Act Stress Tests (DFAST) and internal management stress tests (MST), andintegrates these activities to prepareFannie Mae's Capital Plan.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE
The Senior Associate -Capital Planning and Stress Testing role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
  • Prepare and consolidate assumptions and scenarios to perform baseline capital forecasting, DFAST and MST stress testing, key assumption sensitivities, and other analytics and reporting as necessary.
  • Analyze scenario analysis results and identify capital and P&L implications.
  • Develop and implement metrics and methodologies for capital adequacy and planning practices.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with partners in Financial Planning & Analysis and Finance Analytics to produce enterprise-level forecast and capital plan results.
  • Support overall stress testing and capital planning program management, including working groups, governance practices, and cross-functional communications.

Minimum Required Experiences
  • 3+years


Desired Experiences
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent
  • Experience in financial services or regulatory capital analysis
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and problem solving and/or analytical skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills


Skills
  • Experience in the process of analyzing data to identify trends or relationships to inform conclusions about the data, including understanding key macroeconomic and business drivers of the company's financial results and applying concepts to capital projections
  • Business insight including advising, designing business analytics, interpreting insights, forecasting, benchmarking, etc.
  • Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal, including coordination with business unit financeteams, governance stakeholders, and enterprise-wide stress testing teams
  • Skilled in the graphical representation of information in the form of a charts, diagrams, pictures, and dashboards with programs and tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI
  • Influencing including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict
  • Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand and the ability to synthesize information from several sources into cohesive themes
  • Adept at managing project plans, resources, and people to ensure successful project completion
