The Vice President, Worldwide Commercial / Brand Head for Zeposa will serve as the leader accountable for maximizing the value of Zeposia (Ozanimod) to improve the lives of patients around the world with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Ulcerative Colitis, Crohn’s Disease) and Multiple Sclerosis. This position is responsible for leading a team of direct reports as well as cross-functional matrix team to develop and deliver the overall and indication-specific brand strategies, prepare/develop the market for the introduction of Zeposia, ensure organizational readiness with HQ functions and 30+ local markets, and partner with R&D in support of Zeposia LCM.

This role will establish our external capability/partnership with GI thought-leaders and academic centers, advocacy organizations and other stakeholders, and help BMS become a leader in this space as we introduce a novel, potentially groundbreaking mechanism to treat Ulcerative Colitis. Similarly, the role will engage deeply with the Neurology and MS community to support the continued investment in our MS value story, launch uptake and presence in the market. The successful candidate will partner with HQ Medical, HQ Access, R&D functions and country GMs/BU Heads to ensure that the global strategy is aligned, developed through market insights, and is actionable across various geographies. The leader must be able to operate in a fast-paced organization, with high expectations and accountability on quality of deliverables and ability to create an energizing, inclusive culture at at all levels.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Leads the worldwide global strategic planning and brand planning across marketing, medical, and access, and long-range forecast for Zeposia.
  • Partners with opinion leaders, advocacy groups and other stakeholders, external agencies/vendors to establish BMS as a leader in GI and MS.
  • Co-leads with R&D, Medical and HEOR the continued evidence generation strategy including LCM.
  • Partners with WW Value, Access and Pricing team on the alignment of global strategy and enhancement of value story
  • Collaborates with country/regional leadership to ensure readiness across 30+ markets worldwide to drive launch uptake through deep market insights and analytics and pressure-testing of affiliate market plans, with contingency plans as necessary.


Skills/Knowledge Required :
  • BA/BS required; life sciences degree or equivalent desirable, MBA/graduate degree preferred. 12-15 years of industry experience and a minimum of 8-10 years required. Functional experience within immunology (in particular gastroenterology) strongly preferred; experience with MS/neurology a plus. Scientific background / acumen highly preferred. Sales and marketing leadership, with P&L management preferred.
  • Experience in ex-US markets and global launch experience highly desirable.
  • Individual should have proven track record demonstrating breadth and depth across marketing. competencies, BMS values and exemplary achievement of performance objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading strategically, driving performance, communicating with impact, and creating a strong, inclusive, energizing culture.
  • Experience in mobilizing matrix team members, embracing teamwork within a cross functional environment will be critical.
