Department Overview

Openpath Security (Openpath), a Motorola Solutions Company, is a leader within the access control industry. Openpath's access control solution makes businesses more secure with multi-factor authentication, enables a contactless entry experience and can be easily scaled and managed due to its cloud-based architecture.

Job Description

The Openpath Operations Team is looking for a team member to facilitate and drive our data analytics to improve our product quality, supply chain, and development. The role requires working closely with operations and engineering to help develop and report organization KPIs and metrics to establish product health and quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct analysis to drive valuable business insights, using internal analytics tools and SQL to access and manipulate multivariate data
  • Build data visualizations and multi-faceted dashboards that convey key performance metrics, significant trends, and relationships across multiple data sources within the content domain
  • Ideate and develop new metrics and analytical approaches, measuring content performance for both tactical and strategic decision-making
  • Take projects and requests from end-to-end, defining business needs, developing strategies, and socializing insights to the business
  • Effectively communicate results through compelling data storytelling across the organization
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis support to identify trends that drive business performance
  • Work closely with product and sales to run demand planning based on business sales data and new product integration
  • Work with these stakeholders to define clear signals of success, which translate into simple, easily understood metrics


Qualifications:
  • Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science or related field
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in analytics and/or business intelligence
  • Proficient ability to read/write complex SQL queries to analyze data
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Mode Analytics, etc.) coupled with strong storytelling skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience taking vague requirements and manipulating them into polished final products
  • Strong and effective communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with independent ownership of responsibilities
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis tools like R or Python
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and design


Work Environment:

As our Video Security and Access Control division has brand offices throughout North America, we are open to this individual working fully remote. If residing near our Los Angeles office location, we would recommend a hybrid work environment. More details will be discussed during the interview process.

Basic Requirements

  • Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science or related field
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in analytics and/or business intelligence
  • Proficient ability to read/write complex SQL queries to analyze data
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Mode Analytics, etc.) coupled with strong storytelling skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
