The objective of the Student Programs at Nexteer Automotive is to selectstudents with high potential and provide them with "real world" work experiences. Work assignments expose students to many of the company's products, processes and procedures. Assignments are designed to assimilateacquired classroom education with actual hands-on work experience in a technical environment. In addition, Nexteer Automotive gains theopportunity to find new talent to enhance productivity while providing students exposure to full-time career opportunities.

Special Skill Requirements:
  • Highly professional demeanor with ability and confidence to interface with all levels of the company including members of the senior leadership team.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Additional skills (preferred but not required) - proficiency in graphic/web design, photography, and/or video production/editing.


Job Description:
  • The student will work to develop, edit and publish multi-media communications and internal marketing materials for the global Nexteer team via digital and print channels such as intranet, digital screens, videos, signage, emails, and other channels.
  • He/she will also assist in promoting and coordinating logistics for site and functional activities and events including an annual Global Leadership Conference.
  • Additional responsibilities include promoting the Nexteer brand and culture through strategic communication campaigns, community involvement, and employee engagement programs.
  • The student will also collaborate with the Marketing Communications team to ensure cohesive messaging across internal and external audiences.


Job Requirements:
  • Candidate must be attending a local 4-year university with ability to commute to Saginaw.
  • Candidate must be working towards a Bachelor's or Master's in Communications, Marketing, Management, Public Relations, Graphic Design or Multi-Media Design.
  • Candidate must have the ability to work 20-32 hours per week during Fall and Winter semesters
    • May have the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer
  • Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
  • Must be a full-time student (12 or more credits) during Fall and Winter semesters
  • Candidate must have right to work in the US and not require current or future sponsorship
