Responsible for preparing the monthly package to report the site’s results to headquarters and site metrics Accountable for providing support to the non-manufacturing functions.. This position must comply with all Security guidelines, Environmental Health and Safety regulations and the current Good Manufacturing Practices required by the job function.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyzes purchase price variances, G&A, distribution, environmental expenses and overall spending
  • Coordinates and record spending accruals for MRO, services and utilities.
  • Prepares the WD+5 report submitted to GPS Corporate Finance
  • Calculates conversion cost per unit as part of the monthly closing process
  • Calculates and submit financial metrics (Business Unit Contribution vs. projections and budget.)
  • Prepares and coordinates the Balance Sheet and P&L Quarterly Flux analysis
  • Coordinates and review TM1 for actual monthly and quarterly reporting, budget and projections
  • Responsible for the coordination and development of budget allocations and spending reviews
  • Performs account reconciliations related to payable, miscellaneous receivable, freight, prepaid expenses and utilities.
  • Discusses spending variances with department’s managers.
  • Coordinates and expedites corrective actions for variances drivers.
  • Represents Finance in the site’s forums/meetings and shares financial results
  • Calculates financial impact of CI initiatives.
  • Maintains internal control procedures as well as ensure compliance with SOX.
  • Acts as the back-up for the Cost Accounting and Fixed Assets/Inventory roles as required Participates in special projects as requested.
  • Also, supports other individuals in the PR GPS Finance Organization, as required.


Knowledge/Skills:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance
  • Five (5) years of cost accounting experience in a Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills are required
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate and explain financial matters at all levels
  • Leadership, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to influence others, teamwork mindset and customer oriented
  • Fully bilingual (Spanish/English); verbal and written communication
  • Proficient in Computerized Systems such as SAP, MS Office Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Willing to work irregular hours, weekends and holidays, when necessary
