Primary Responsibilities:
  • Review open delivery tickets and prioritize billing activities.
  • Assist Supervisor with monitoring adherence to policies and procedures, and performing audits as designated by the
  • Supervisor.
  • Assist with monitoring and evaluating reimbursement employee productivity and performance to goal.
  • Assist with training new reimbursement employees and conducts ongoing training and skills assessments as
  • necessary.
  • Assist reimbursement staff with any day to day issues and escalating issues when necessary to the Supervisor /
  • Manager.
  • Review progress of AR collection efforts and how it relates to billing activities, and provide guidance as needed.
  • Work with offshore partners to ensure that exceptions are being resolved within the designated standard.
  • Develop relationships with other departments to provide feedback about root cause issues.
  • Develop relationships with payers to assist with billing and resolve root causes of issues
  • Assure that timely and accurate follow up activity is performed on all invoices that are not paid within 45 days of
  • submission. Responsible for review and documenting of key accounts.
  • Identify issues/trends and escalate to Supervisor / Manager when assistance is needed.
  • Provide exceptional Customer service to patients and support the patient pay team.
  • Adhere to Regulatory / Payer Guidelines and policies & procedures.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • Minimum two years' experience working with medical billing /medical collections, and/or
  • accounts receivables, patient pay
  • Minimum two years' experience working in Microsoft office, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Ability to read and interpret payer contracts and billing guidelines

Telecommuting Requirements:
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Home Infusion knowledge
  • Knowledge of NDC, ICD-10, and HIPAA
  • Experience in the indirect management of team members, including assisting in the development, training and
  • assignment of work/projects to other members of a team.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $17.12 - $30.34. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $18.80 - $33.41.
