Job Description
Hours of Work: Mon - Fri 5am to 1pm

The Maintenance Mechanic will work with a team of multi-skilled Maintenance Mechanics colleagues to maintain equipment in a mid to large volume facility. You will maintain, repair and improve equipment and systems to meet production goals as well as quality expectations.

The Maintenance Mechanic will have comprehensive mechanical, electrical, and maintenance experience. Along with knowledge in preventative maintenance procedures, troubleshooting guidelines, work request documentation, spare parts appropriation, inventory control, and possess excellent computer skills.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs of all material handling equipment to include all overhead/ground conveyors, rolling stock, and cardboard balers, etc.
• Demonstrate knowledge and ability to repair equipment of HVAC, electrical systems, dock equipment, doors, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Inspect machinery regularly for signs of wear and defects, including sound and visual inspections.
• Maintain and repair all production modules and storage rack structures, including all related hardware.
• Maintain rolling stock batteries (water level and cleaning) and equipment. Change/charge batteries and minor battery repairs as needed.
• Complete renovations to offices and facility that need improvement to include maintaining and repairing floors, doors, and walls.
• Move equipment, paint surfaces within and outside building, replace lighting, plumbing repairs.
• Maintain, repair, and inspect all facility fire prevention systems, domestic water, drainage and natural gas piping systems.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area for all colleagues.
• Upkeep of building exterior and grounds.
• Maintain and repair of the facility's structure, fixtures, and equipment.
• Complete daily work orders in a timely manner.
• Monitor spare parts and place in designated location.
• Perform other projects as needed throughout the facility to include preventive maintenance on all other equipment and components assigned.
• Read and interpret technical reference manuals, blueprints, and construction plans.
• Escort vendors as needed.
• Follow all OSHA and Company safety procedures & policies.

Required Qualifications
Role specific

 Ability to use hand and powered tools to perform job function.
 Must be able to obtain license to operate all types of powered equipment within 90 days.
 Valid driver's license.
 Ability to walk, stand, pull, climb for an extended period of time.
 Must be able to lift frequently 20-45 lbs., occasionally 45-75 lbs.
 Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed to include high volume periods.

 Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
 Ability to exercise sound judgement and work independently with minimal supervision.
 Proven ability to be a team player who is comfortable working in a team-based environment.
 Ability to work with different levels of colleagues with focus on customer service.
 Ability to act competently in emergencies.

3-5 years related work experience
