Our location in Abbott Park, IL, currently has an opportunity for an Associate Specialist, Talent Management Operations. The Associate Specialist, Talent Management Operations, reports to the Director Talent Management Operations, and will take care of data management, creation, maintenance of records and privacy. The Associate Specialist, Talent Management Operations will be responsible for ensuring effective executive level reports and functional design document creation and testing in Workday. Will establish, build and maintain strong relationships with different HR partners (HRTS team, Business Human Resource colleagues, C&B) and across the Talent Development organization.

Job Description Summary

Creates and maintains highly confidential executive meeting materials that are essential to talent pipeline management activities. Supports the talent movement measurement in the organization to help Senior HR Leaders to make talent decisions. Respond to requests for talent information, often on accelerated timeline and evolving requirements to meet senior leaders' demand. Keeps employees, BHR and TOC consultants trained in Workday Talent Profile, Reports, and overall Talent Management Systems (Brella / Workday).

Core Job Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain confidential executive materials and meeting production schedules; plan and execute meeting logistics.
  • Prepares and maintain executive Talent Management reports - prepare reports, verifies content, can drive open items to resolution in alignment with set deliverable deadlines.
  • Track all Grade 21+ movements in the organization and update Top 300 role tracking and talent profiles.

  • Identify employees who need profile updates and assist with profile completion.
  • Deliver Workshop to employees; Deliver Train the Trainer sessions to TOC Consultants and BHR partners.
  • Partner with HRTS and peer on process enhancements and associated documentation (FDD, CDD); participate in system testing as required.
  • Maintain budget records and process payment related requests. Assist in the preparation of budget related materials and updates. Work with Abbott Procurement on SOW and PO related events.


Skills/Experience Requirements:
  • 3+ years of human resource experience, with a minimum of 2 years managing programs/projects.
  • Excellent Training and interpersonal skills; able to deliver training sessions to small and big audiences.
  • Able to work with sensitive and confidential material and possess good business judgment.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting while managing competing priorities.
  • Strong team orientation, and high adaptability.
  • Interest in and capacity to test and implement new technologies; technical background not required.
  • Critical skills include:
  • High attention to detail and accuracy (for metrics, reporting and analysis).
  • Advanced Excel Skills.
  • Power BI and Workday experience is preferred.


Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Administration, or related field is preferred.
