Associate Manufacturing Process Technician


What you will do

Let's do this. Let's change the world. In this vital role the Associate Manufacturing Process Technician will perform processes according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) in the Inspection and Packaging area. Multiple positions available to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment which supports a Non Standard shifts operations that may include 24/7, extended shift and weekends.

Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Safely follow standard operating procedures including but not limited to material handling, record keeping, inspection and packaging. Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Work with computer systems and electronic batch records.
  • Set up and prepare equipment for operation.
  • Completes routine detailed tasks and assignments following Amgen's procedures.
  • Support Manual Inspection Activities
  • May act as safety representative.
  • Document activities as appropriate (i.e., MPs and logs) using Good Documentation Practices (GDPs).
  • Support non-standard shift operations that may include 24/7, extended shift and weekends.
  • Ability to read, write and follow written and verbal instructions both in Spanish and English languages.

The Basic Qualifications are:

Associate degree


High school diploma and 2 years of manufacturing experience

Beyond that additional preferred qualifications are:

  • Educational Background ----- Natural Sciences, Automation, Engineering, Business Administration
  • Experience working in a GMP or another regulated environment
  • Experience Working in Inspection and Packaging within Pharma, Medical Devices, and or Biotechnology industry.
  • Ability to support Manual Inspection Activities
  • Ability to perform basic computer operations, such as ability to navigate in MS Office, use email, and complete training using Computer Based Training (CBT)
  • Ability to assemble disassembles, operate and understand equipment per procedures
  • Proficiency in reading and writing English.
  • Organizational skills and ability to perform assignments with a high degree of attention to detail
  • Documentation skills
  • Written and oral communication skills
