Senior Manager - Product Owner - Global Commercial Operations (GCO) Digital Technology & Innovation


What you will do

Let's do this. Let's change the world. In this vital role you will manage and oversee the product development process for Amgen's intranet "MyAmgen".

MyAmgen is the enterprise portal and vehicle for employees to access important tools and information that enables them to complete critical tasks as well as communicate and collaborate with teams across the globe.

As the Product Owner for MyAmgen, you will oversee the entire product development process, including the technical aspects of the product. You will be responsible for the vision, roadmap, managing and prioritizing the backlog and work with a variety of teams including partners, scrum masters and product developers.

The MyAmgen portal is built on Salesforce and integrates with many systems across the Amgen Enterprise. As the technical product owner, you will act as the technical advisor to the MyAmgen product team and work closely with the Salesfore architect and platform team.

As a product owner you will:
  • Define the goals and vision for the product
  • Drive and complete product road map
  • Managing the product backlog and prioritize based on changing requirements and needs
  • Oversee all stages of product creation including design and development
  • Act as technical advisor to MyAmgen Product team
  • Collaborbate with key partners including Salesforce Architect and Salesforce Platform team
  • Liaison with the product team and end-users to deliver updates to executive eadership and key partners
  • Participating in Scrum meetings and product sprints
  • Supervise and evaluate product progress at each stage of the process
  • Report out to Executive Leadership as needed
  • Leadership of direct reports

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Information Systems experience


Master's degree and 6 years of Information Systems experience


Bachelor's degree and 8 years of Information Systems experience


Associate's degree and 10 years of Information Systems experience


2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep technology background of delivering enterprise solutions
  • Experience with Salesforce and Mulesoft
  • In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
  • Solid understanding of product development architecture
  • Understanding of design quality standards
  • Proficiency in the use of analytics tools including google analytics
  • Ability to prioritize effectively
  • Knowledge of user-centered design principles
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Ability to work with large teams
  • Understanding of design quality standards
  • Ability to lead, mentor and empower staff
