In this role, you will provide support to Ambulatory Pharmacy by performing complex analyses and research in such areas as finance, profit and loss, contracts, HR benefits, local contracting and clinical utilization analysis & others. You will design and create charts, graphs, tables, and reports to support findings and develop recommendations. You will collaborate with members to develop custom analytics, tracking tools, and dashboards based on co-developed work plans and will provide business support and advisory to the senior pharmacy executive.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct analyses and research to identify solutions to complex problems and produce results. Provide timely solutions to ad hoc requests.
  • Interpret trends, regulatory changes and/or forecasts and anticipate impact for the customer.
  • Design and create charts, graphs, tables, and reports to support findings and develop recommendations.
  • Present recommendations to management and provide guidance in selecting alternatives.
  • Conduct Pro forma modifications to customize to the needs of each engagement and situations (such as updates to cash flow calculations, margins, etc.).
  • Analyze prescriber data, dispensing files, and claims files for eligible 340B claims.
  • Maintain and update pricing for the Specialty Drug List and Limited Distribution Drug List.
  • Develop and maintain analytical tools to identify specialty drugs within a large set of member data inclusive of Excel formulas and macros necessary for identification.
  • Analyze and compare Specialty Drug List files for prescribing files, employee and dependent claims, and retail claims files to identify current capture vs. opportunity.
  • Develop tools and formulas for addition of drug cost information to specialty data in order to determine projected average revenue for specialty prescriptions within member data.
  • Analyze and compare member prescriber data (prescribing files, dispensing files, claims files) to member prescriber list for eligible 340B claims. Evaluate and Identify any internal/external pharmacy opportunities.
  • Compare PBM cost approval to member GPO/340B drug cost to determine margin for employee and dependent claims.


Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred. Computer Science, MIS BA Finance or related field.
  • MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 5 or more years of experience required.
  • Experience in health care data analytics, financial analytics or similar required.
  • Ability to interpret basic financial analyses required.
  • Experience translating analytical findings into easy-to-understand and actionable business information for customers and colleagues.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel with the ability to create and present concise and organized reports.
  • Strong knowledge of MS PowerPoint.
  • Experience with SQL, MS Access is preferred.
  • Experience creating dashboards and performance report cards a plus.
  • Experience managing multiple projects from data collection through final completion.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and independently.
  • Ability to build strong strategic working relationships.
  • Experience in project management and project implementation is beneficial.
  • Willingness to travel.

Estimated Hiring Range:
$86,300.00 - $128,400.00
