Associate Supply Planning Manager - Seventh Generation

Background/Purpose

Supply: The primary purpose of this position is to manage the creation and execution of a Seventh Generation supply plan across third parties and/or Unilever factory(s) to support the North American market (US and Canada), with a continued focus on balancing service, inventory and waste metrics. The Supply Planner will act as the liaison between Demand Planning and Manufacturing while supporting business initiatives and strategies that may present impact to his/her portfolio and/or network. It is the responsibility of the Supply Planner to understand the business and to build a responsive network that can react to the volatility of the market while also managing inventory levels, non-finished good material availability, and waste implications. As part of the Supply Planning Team, you will need to drive initiatives to meet team goals and ensure the continuous improvement of processes and outcome.

Materials: As the materials team lead, you will oversee a team of 1 material planner in the tactical and long-term strategic execution of non-finished goods to support the full SVG portfolio. Working with the material planner, the lead will perform end-to-end portfolio reviews in collaboration with supply planners, key 3PM/material vendors, and procurement to ensure optimal service is maintained across the business. Additionally, the lead will work with the material planner to develop safety stock / inventory modeling for key areas within the portfolio to support NSV and service. Lastly, the lead will initiate monthly run strategies with key material vendors.

Who You Are and What You'll Do

  • Collaborate and manage optimization and delivery of service, inventory, production planning, and key interfaces between Demand Planning, Factories, Suppliers, Procurement and Logistics.
  • Organize and coordinate meetings with factories and suppliers, building a "partner to win" relationship.
  • Identify future customer service risk and work with the cross-functional teams to quantify and reduce the impact to customers.
  • Facilitate and lead Run Strategies with your respective site(s) focusing on output reliability, long-term capacity plans and future constraints.
  • Run end-to-end materials analysis across the portfolio to ensure service is maintained.


  • Provide vendors with monthly long-term materials forecast for raw & pack.
  • KPIs to consider in this role are: Service, Inventory and Waste.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or other related field.
  • 4+ years of professional experience: preferably within a Supply Chain or analytical role.
  • Planning and organization skills.
  • Ideally, you'll have some exposure to SAP (APO), APICS and have a good foundation in supply chain planning principles.
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to deliver complex information to a variety of audiences with impact.


  • Creative mindset with the ability to look at a problem with a number of different perspectives and ideas for a solution.
