AS Assoc. Project Manager Job

As an Associate Project Manager on our Architectural Specialties (AS) Project Management Team, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient coordination all work towards goals in a complex, diverse environment with multiple and changing demands

You will also be responsible for overseeing all aspects of a project to ensure it is completed on time and within budget.  In addition, you will be accountable for managing expectations by coordinating and communicating on project scope, cost, schedule, vendors, and manufacture of contractual deliverables.   

What you'll be doing
  • Analyzing contract requirements and developing communication plans
  • Determining status of samples and drawings done during quotation phase
  • Collaborating with customers to direct expectations of product
  • Establishing project timelines, reviewing architectural plans, and tracking sample and shop/product detail drawing statuses 
  • Developing project objectives, policies, and performance standards
  • Providing administrative direction to customers and various internal departments to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget 
  • Maintaining and archiving internal and external communication for each project
  • Controlling project flow and tracking submittal status for each project 
  • Conducting periodic inspection of products as they move through the manufacturing process
  • Providing risk mitigation and problem resolution
  • Writing, submitting, and tracking order acknowledgements, change orders, and SAP Order forms

Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of residential or commercial project management experience
  • Proven ability to coordinate multiple facets of projects, including analyzing information and architectural drawings, communicating with customers and stakeholders, setting expectations, scheduling, planning, assigning and directing work, risk mitigation and problem resolution, and budget control
  • Ability to write clear and concise reports


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two-year college or technical school degree, ideally in a technical discipline such as architecture, construction, or construction management 
  • Previous experience in the construction field or related discipline
  • Expertise in reading and interpreting architectural plans
