This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 4:30pm, Central Time . It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

*All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Process enrollment applications, reports, and transactions
  • Handle all enrollment related concerns
  • Answer incoming phone calls from Agents (and Agents with their clients) with questions regarding the enrollment process
  • Write clear, concise, grammatically and factually correct letters
  • Complete transactions within established turnaround times to meet service level targets
  • Communicate effectively with others to ensure prompt and accurate resolution of issues
  • Work independently to prioritize and organize workload
  • Provide expertise and customer service support to insured members, applicants, agents, and all other customers
  • Meet quality and productivity standards

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of experience with COMPAS
  • 1+ years of experience with the AARP Medicare Supplement products
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel (reading, creating, and saving documents and reading spreadsheets)
  • Ability to work 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Central Time

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ years' experience with Enrollment or Claims processing
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups)
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish

  • Ability to work independently-which includes planning, effective use of resources, and follow through
  • Strong independent and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to collaborate with others inside and outside of team and business
  • Ability to compose professional business letters-clear, concise, and appropriate use of plain language

Telecommuting Requirements:
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $15.00 to $25.19. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $15.77 to $27.79.
