Department Overview

Job Description

• This position will be working on the Flex Product line, initially focusing on the CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) functionality, but then branching out to other functional areas.

• Maintaining existing automated tests. Keeping them current with product changes, and ensuring they run reliably and produce valid results

• Creating new tests to expand our automation coverage, These will primarily be using the team's new Behavior Driven Development approach and End to End framework

• Monitoring and analyzing results from automated test runs, including collaborating with feature teams on suspected defects and creating defect reports as appropriate.

• Analyzes, develops, designs, and maintains software for the organization’s products and systems.

• Performs system integration of software and hardware to maintain throughput and program consistency.

• Ranorex - a commercial test automation package is the underlying tool of our test automation

• C# is the language that we use to code the majority of the Ranorex tests.

• Scripting languages such as Perl, and Python are also utilized.

• Develops, validates, and tests: structures and user documentation.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field or 2+ years of software engineering experience
• This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.
