Job Description

The Openpath Quality Assurance group is seeking a mid-level Software Development Engineer in Test to facilitate and drive our product quality through design, development, and deployment. The individual will help quality assurance activities at Openpath, including but not limited to, automation, system level test planning and execution, design and development quality metrics. This position requires constant cross team communication and heavy cooperation with customer support, software, and hardware development groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage test plans and test procedures from scratch based on user requirements and product specifications

  • Turn product requirements, manual test cases into automated tests

  • Develop and maintain automated tests for Web and Mobile applications, and front-end technologies

  • Validate product’s functionality against requirements

  • Assist in bug life cycle management, defect reporting and tracking, defect analysis and validation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field

  • 3+ years of experience in automated testing (both white and black box applications)

  • 3+ years of experience with mobile and web automation testing

  • 1+ year of experience with software development programming languages like Python, Java, Swift, Objective-C, JavaScript

  • Working knowledge with automation tools such as Test Project, Ranorex, TestComplete and Selenium, Appium

  • Proven success in writing automated tests in Python, Java, JavaScript

  • Experience with Xcode, Android Studio, Objective-C, Swift and React Native applications

  • Familiarity with Version control systems such as Git, GitHub

  • Exposure to iOS, Android, Windows, macOS and Linux operating systems

Preference will be given to candidates with the following:

  • Familiarity with SDLC, CI/CD processes

  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies

  • Nice to have experience with AWS or Azure cloud

  • Nice to have experience with video streaming protocols such as HLS, WebRTC

  • Nice to have testing experience with Access control systems, digital video streaming, security systems

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field

  • 3+ years of experience in automated testing

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
