The Product Safety and Regulatory Compliance team is responsible for ensuring our products meet global product safety and regulatory requirements and partners with engineering teams around the world on our new product launches.
Job Description

This role will have exposure to all aspects of the new product safety introduction process from design for safety analysis, failure analysis of field returns, lithium ion cell qualification, introduction to carrier certification practices and global product certification schemes.

  • Works on a multi-disciplinary team responsible for product certification.

  • Assist in the administration of documentation collection for product certification cycles.

  • Assists in the investigation of field related safety inquiries.

  • Conducts experimental tests and produces results for team assessment of product designs.

  • Completes documentation and procedures for transition to the team.

  • Ability to follow documented administrative and technical processes.

  • Problem solving, organizational, and prioritization skills a plus.

Additional Skills:

  • Knowledge or experience with lithium ion battery design and associated circuits

  • Knowledge or experience with lithium ion charging systems

  • Knowledge or experience with regulatory and certification topics such as Electromagnetic Compatibility, Electromagnetic Immunity, RF, Safety, and Energy Efficiency regulations

  • Knowledge or experience with design using microprocessors

  • Knowledge or experience in DC power regulation and distribution

  • Use of test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DC bench supplies, multi-meters etc. is required

  • Knowledge or experience with development tools such as circuit simulators and substrate layout tools (ex. PSPICE, MATLAB, Cadence, etc.)


Basic Requirements

Bachelor's degree or Master's degree; major in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
