WHAT YOU'LL DO As the Health Care Practice Area People Strategy Senior Manager, you will help to drive the Practice Area (PA)’s global people agenda while continuously co-developing and implementing the people strategy across the global practice. You will work as a thought partner to the Health Care Practice’s People Chair and in close collaboration with the PA’s regional leaders, Health Care Leadership Team and the PA Management and Operations Team as well as other relevant stakeholders to define our people objectives and ensure they are met More specifically, you will: Co-develop and enable delivery of the HCPA’s most important strategic initiative Oversee global capacity planning and analytics / progress tracking, including: Resource planning, including analytics on affiliation, capability needs, growth projections, and hiring Track and report on progress against the plan, troubleshoot challenges Enable the implementation of EVP and capacity increase measures across systemsSupport and expand the PA’s diversity programs Oversee and drive affiliation of talent across the PA globally Engage closely with Practice-dedicated regional teams on annual HR and performance processes as needed Create conditions for successful talent integration, including developing onboarding and integration strategies Support driving PA culture, developing initiatives to drive affiliation, growth mind set and highlight unique purpose of the HCPA’s work for clients, patients and society Work across the PA to monitor and drive engagement, affiliation and address risks Work closely with PA’s and global Marketing teams to strengthen our team and employer brand internally and externally Drive additional, people-related projects, e.g. Enable best practice sharing across geographies and initiatives Develop / manage analytics on People KPIs Manage ongoing and ad hoc people analyses (global PA People Survey results) Lead talent-related, cross-functional projects/initiatives Support PA mobility strategy as relevant Drive capability scale-up effort together with sectors, regions and systems Help drive overall capabilities scale up strategy with the PA Leadership and Regions Work with the Global L&D colleagues and sector managers to ensure development of the PA’s L&D curriculum, continuously refining and updating as time goes on As one of BCG’s largest Practice Areas globally, the Health Care Practice Area (HCPA) helps companies grasp the strategic implications of changes in the market environment and leverage them to build competitive advantage. The practice serves clients across the health care (HC) industry including the biopharmaceutical, medical technology, payer, provider, health care services, and global health sectors. Practice Area Management & Operations team members keep BCG’s industry and functional practice areas operating responsively and efficiently. As a member of this team, you will contribute directly to the success of our business by supporting one of the PA’s most important strategic initiatives, the global people agenda. Leading others including senior business leaders in clarifying problems and developing solutions by building cross-PA partnerships - building consensus, persuading and influencing. Motivating others to deliver highest standards, providing direction, mentoring and coaching. YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS) 8 - 10 years of relevant experience (e.g. in professional services, HR or operations) Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred Strong analytical skills; ability to draw insights from data Ability to manage and drive area of accountabilities, contributing to higher level agenda setting Ability to lead more complex, broader sub functional teams or projects fully independently and provide direction to others Ability to resolve complex issues and non-defined problems autonomously, with full business acumen Strong interpersonal skills, credibility Ability to influence senior members of the PA and beyond Ability to respect sensitive client, BCG, and people related information as personal and confidential Strong written and verbal communication skills Advanced knowledge in Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel YOU'LL WORK WITH You will work closely with the Practice Area Leaders and their leadership teams when setting the strategic agenda and driving implementation. For additional tasks, you will collaborate with the Practice Area Coordinators, Sector / Topic Managers, HR and Marketing within the PA. Further interfaces exist with global and regional BCG functions and teams as needed.
