WHAT YOU'LL DO The TMT Practice Area is one of BCG's industry practice areas, globally serving cutting-edge clients in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications space. As part of the Global Technology Sector, you will help with several strategic communications and initiatives. You will get first-hand experience working on a dynamic, international team in a fast-growing business within BCG. Specific areas that this position will work in will include: Global and regional communications Data consolidation and reporting (to help determine if the business is meeting is Key Performance Indicators) Event planning / coordination Project managing strategic initiatives including white space task forces, managing our Technology Advisory Network, and our Technology Commercial Programs Given the size of the business and the diversity of the initiatives, elements of the position can be customized to suit the interests and goals of the right candidate. YOU'RE GOOD AT Working independently and thought partnering with senior members of the Technology team – getting time with key stakeholders and proactively driving initiatives Working collaboratively and flexibly with senior global colleagues Data analysis and basic modelling using MS Excel Professional communication and interpersonal skills, including strong, clear verbal communication, crisp writing skills for large audiences and familiarity with structured PowerPoint presentations for senior leaders Organized and detail-oriented – able to manage your own agenda and deliverables with discipline - strong sense of ownership and very outcome oriented Confident and able to engage with very senior Leaders, often directly without oversight YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS) Must be currently enrolled at an accredited University Must meet the internship program eligibility requirements of the current college/university's academic department and student must be approved by the college/university to participate in the internship program Must be able to work full-time (40 hours/week) throughout the minimum duration of the internship cycle (June-December) and be flexible to accommodate meetings in different time zones Must be authorized to work in the United States Preference for someone working on a BS/BA in Business or with strong interest Previous commercial internship experience in Consulting or related fields is considered an asset, but not a requirement Desire to learn quickly and high level of resourcefulness and initiative Passion for the Technology space Strong MS Office suite experience – Excel and PowerPoint Ability to work in fast-paced environment YOU'LL WORK WITH Our business management and operations team members work to ensure that BCG is running smoothly, efficiently, and productively. We are made up of executive and administrative (or case team) assistants, visual service artists, receptionists, facilities staff, and the team leaders and office coordinators who manage these operations and business management jobs.
