Legal and Commercial Services professionals deliver and coordinate legal, contract and commercial advice and counsel in support of Accenture's or our clients' business, working to manage and mitigate risk and ensure ethical behavior and compliance with laws and company policies.

The mission statement of Global Services Legal is to “drive sustainable business growth for Accenture by providing deep legal expertise at the intersection of business strategy, industry and technology in a highly dynamic environment.” The Global Services Legal team is a strategic partner and a product counsel towards the five Services under Accenture’s Next Generation Growth Model, i.e. Interactive, Strategy & Consulting, Industry X, Technology and Operations. We are a diverse team and our team’s mission is to help our business to grow in a responsible, inclusive, and sustainable way, by providing early-stage legal advice and support in relation to the key business strategies and priorities.
This team also functions as the integrator between various other parts of the Legal team, coordinating between the multidisciplinary areas of deep expertise across the wider Legal team, to deliver one holistic Legal perspective to the business.
Accenture seeks an attorney with at least 5 years of broad IP experience to join our global IP group as IP counsel. You will be a trusted advisor by providing business practical IP advice across a variety of IP topics, including patents, trade secrets, copyrights and trademarks. You will also be a valuable partner by helping to develop and implement IP strategic initiatives, policies, best practices, and training.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with our business groups to gain a deep understanding of key assets and strategic growth areas, and develop IP strategies to protect the assets and maximize business outcomes.
Manage and continuously evolve our patenting efforts by working with business leads and developers; identifying strategic focus areas; evaluating the patentability of inventions; and supporting patent harvesting, patent prosecution and IP operations.
Educate, advise and support internal stakeholders (such as business clients, corporate colleagues, and other legal colleagues) on IP issues and transactions across various industries and geographies.
Develop and implement IP strategic initiatives, policies, best practices, and training.
Support other IP projects as needed to continuously transform our IP practice to address emerging technology and evolving IP laws.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Education: JD and admission in good standing with applicable bar association(s)
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a corporate or law firm setting.
Professional Skills:
Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian
Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian
As required by Colorado law under the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act,Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
