Implementation Leader III
Job Location: Aurora IL or Tampa FL
Role Value Proposition:
Responsible for planning and managing the implementation of Core Products for new clients and add coverages for existing clients. Reviews sold plans and project timelines with Sales and Service to identify any non-standard provisions or services that may impact cost or MetLife’s ability to meet/exceed customer expectations. Partner with business units including Sales, Service, IT, Contracts, and other administrative business units to ensure that implementations are delivered consistently, timely, and of high quality. Prepare, review, and finalize a project plan. Conduct weekly or periodic status meetings with Internal Implementation Project Team to review progress and resolve issues. Will be responsible for system set up and any system related issues associated with new plan installations. Supports customers who are over 5,00 lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acts in a contributing role to the implementation project team on large, complex installation projects. Converts clients' plan participant data to administrative recordkeeping and payment systems.
- Coordinates responses to client requests during the installation and conversion process. Partners with other business units (Sales, Service, IT, Contracts, etc.) to ensure that implementations are delivered consistently, timely, and accurately.
- Negotiates final plan design features and administrative services; finalizes plan design and communicates to the implementation team. Identifies implementation-related problems and helps resolve issues.
- Conducts weekly or periodic status meetings with various parties to review progress and resolve issues. Loads all plans, structure, and rates into systems for file testing, contract generation and feed to plan master. Prepares and finalizes project plans.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
- 5-7+ years of non-IT project management experience managing business and/or operational type projects
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Strong project, program and change management skills with a proven track record of managing and executing all phases of project initiatives
- Strong facilitation skills and the ability to design effective meeting agendas, lead group decision making, resolve conflicts, etc.
- Ability to effectively influence and interact/collaborate with team members, partners, and senior management
- Effectively recognize when to escalate issues to senior management for resolution
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to lead, motivate and support project team
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Proven ability to work effectively across a matrix environment
- Ability to champion continuous learning & development
- Proficient in MS Project & MS Office Suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
Preferred:
- Knowledge of MetLife’s Group Core Products and Services (Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, Absence Management
