JOB PURPOSE

Media is a data rich function and in order to support the wider Unilever Business Groups and Business Units the Global Media and Digital Operations team runs iO Media, Unilever’s key global media information system and Bsmart (Unilever’s Media budget setting tool). As part of its remit Global Media & Digital Operation is responsible for ensuring the data rich environment is translated into efficient (global) information systems that support the Unilever business in understanding its media investments and assist in driving actions to improve its effectiveness globally and locally.

The role supports the Sr Mgr in the department with ensuring that the information systems are fit for purpose i.e., that the data quality, completeness, and recency are optimally designed to support the business. As part of this the role also is responsible for creation of additional ad hoc reporting, end user support and media

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing master data specific to iO Media, including creation, updates, and deletion and update media agencies where relevant.
  • Monthly check of iO Media reports and dashboards to ensure these have been refreshed correctly (lead).
  • Monthly Validation of media agency submissions into iO Media – validation sessions including asks for checks and corrections
  • Creation of ad hoc analytical support for senior Media Management (GLT) (lead)
  • Generation of off-line ad hoc reports (jointly with Sr Mgr)
  • Providing expert support to users and organise training sessions on iO Media applications as and when required (lead)
  • Maintenance of Users support material and publication (jointly with Sr Mgr)
  • Creation of annual calendars for iO Media
  • Administration of the UNCC (Unilever Naming Coding Conventions) with our agency partners

ALL ABOUT YOU

  • Dynamic team-player who approaches challenges in a proactive and flexible manner
  • Affinity with visualisation tools (e.g., Presentation software, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., ability to build Pivot tables, Lookups, Filters, and Graph data) is a must
  • Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets. (Experience in understanding relational databases is a bonus)
  • Strong verbal and written communication and organisational skills are prerequisites for this role as is the need to meet key deadlines
  • Good networking skills as the role requires interaction with a wide range of stakeholders across IT, Media, Marketing and Finance along with our agency partners
  • A good understanding of media and marketing knowledge ideally within an agency, media, or tech company

Location

Recruitment Fraud

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money. In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs.  These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.

How is Unilever tackling this?

Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.
