Our Finance team works as a partner to the business, both giving specific advice and helping to ensure an integrated approach to the business. We provide insight, challenge robustly where appropriate and support commercial decisions, as well as take ownership for and actively manage the financial drivers of value.

As the Manager, Product Cost Accounting on the Record to Report (R2R) team, you will be responsible for the inventory accounting and reporting and the SPMR reporting cycles for Sandoz. The role is expected to work collaboratively across all levels within the financial services group and act as a point of contact for inventory reporting and accounting matters within the US.

Your additional responsibilities include, but not limited to:
•Manage ongoing inventory accounting and period-end financial reporting in compliance with IFRS/GAAP, including accurate completion of reporting packages as well as continuous inventory process improvements and implementing any changes in reporting requirements
•Deliver excellent service levels and KPIs for the inventory and product margin reporting
•Act as System Super User Lead for inventory systems, actively initiate and participate in improvements to sustain a highly effective and efficient process to realize cost reduction opportunities, including areas to standardize processes and optimize investments made in global ERP/SAP systems and financial services
•Prepare Balance Sheet Reconciliations & Analysis (Perpetual Inventory, Inventory provisions, Goods-In-Transit, Goods Received/Invoice Received, etc.)
•Prepare Sandoz Product Margin Reporting Reconciliations & Analysis
•Ensure timely and compliant end to end inventory reporting, including review of inventory related FCRS schedules and corresponding working paper preparation / review where applicable.
•Ensure compliance with Novartis Accounting Manual (NAM), Novartis Financial Controls Manual (NFCM) and regulatory requirements and implementation in internal guidelines
•Ensure application of agreed Novartis control procedures and actively support to deliver SOX or equivalent certification
•Promote a strong control environment, follow up on audit issues and implement corrective measures

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $97,600 and $146,400/year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/23 through 12/31/23, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
