Job Description

The Payroll Processing and Tax Senior Analyst serves as a subject matter expert for complex multi-state tax and processes. The ideal candidate understands and demonstrates knowledge in multi-state payroll taxation by reviewing and ensuring data integrity

Duties include:

  • Research and reconciliation of employees’ multi-state records

  • Analyze employee records for appropriate set up and configuration

  • Provides customer service to employees’ tax questions.

  • Works with payroll vendor for tax questions and setup.

  • Utilize historical and current data from multiple systems to determine if updates are needed to set up, process or configuration.

  • Prepares employee W2Cs in legacy systems as necessary

  • Assist in audit preparation and proceedings for both internal and external auditors

  • Apply and produce standard correspondence using existing templates

  • Respond to information requests by researching, compiling, and summarizing results in requested format

  • Provide general ledger accounting support to controllership

  • Serve as a technical/functional resource or super user to other team members

  • Assist & coordinate the work of a small team in areas of high-volume transaction processing

  • Assist in training, knowledge sharing and education of new and or more junior team members on established operational, procedures, policies and methods

  • Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned

  • Maintain up to date knowledge of state and local regulatory requirements

  • Document all new learnings or change in processes in the standard format and seek relevant approvals on a periodic basis

  • Meet established goals and objectives
