The Senior Manager of AML and Tax Transparency Oversight reports directly to the US Head of AML and Tax Transparency, assists with overseeing these two policies and programs across all of our businesses and provides subject matter expertise to all lines of business and functions on AML and Tax Transparency issues. You will help oversee Policy changes and participate in bank initiatives relating to new and changing AML and Tax Transparency regulatory requirements. You will advise and communicate policy and program changes across business lines and coordinate with global counterparts.
Here’s what you can expect:
As the Senior Manager of AML and Tax Transparency Oversight, you will provide guidance and subject matter expertise to lines of business, functions, and other FC functional partners on matters pertaining to AML and Tax Transparency, including regulatory and policy obligations and risk appetite. Importantly, you will help lead the bank’s response to significant new legislative and regulatory requirements. This includes drafting written responses to public Notices of Proposed Rule Makings related to regulatory changes under recent legislation, advocating for proposed outcomes to enhance industry management of financial crime risk, and leading implementation of new AML regulatory requirements within the bank. You will provide Second Line of Defense oversight to Lines of Business FC Advisory Teams’ risk stewardship, overseeing the quality and timeliness of risk assessments, controls implementation, continuous monitoring and issues management.
You will be asked to prepare submissions to, and present at, various governance committees with senior stakeholders. You will review proposed new products and services and changes to existing products to identify financial crime risks and recommend proposed risk mitigants. You will be responsible for preparing periodic reports analyzing financial crime-related metrics and regulatory and industry trends. You will oversee implementation and compliance with US and Group AML and Tax Transparency compliance policies. You will also assist in developing and/or delivering training to staff on AML and Tax Transparency matters.
For this role, HSBC targets a fixed pay range between $129,800 and $194,700.
The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
