If you like helping people, GRO is for you.Meta is seeking an Investigator to join our Global Operations Investigations Team. Help Meta discover and analyze risks that could manifest within Meta’s family of products in an effort to make Meta and its users more secure through risk mitigations. The candidate will work with partners across the company and internally share their findings and analysis. The potential for impact with this work is substantial as outcomes could affect billions of people who use our products. Investigators will have the opportunity to work on some of the most challenging, complicated, and high-visibility risks the company is facing.The ideal candidate will have a multidisciplinary investigative and analytical background and the ability to identify risks and make risk-based recommendations. It is highly important that candidates are focused on results and are self-starters. This role may periodically require candidates to work weekends or after hours during select high priority events.

Required Skills

Investigator, Global Risk Operations Responsibilities:

  • Work with key stakeholders to identify community and/or ads risks from a variety of sources and perspectives
  • Address sensitive content issues, including but not limited to content relating to offensive images and writings, offensive or derogatory language, or other offensive or controversial material

Minumum Qualification

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience conducting risk-focused due diligence and/or investigations, intelligence analysis, or similar functions
  • Experience with pattern, network and behavioral analysis
  • Experience compiling and drafting analytical reports that clearly and succinctly summarize findings
  • Experience presenting investigative and/or analytical findings to influence cross-functional teams and projects toward mitigations and solutions
  • Experience working within Trust & Safety, Risk & Compliance, Fraud, or similar team focused on reducing risk of harm to users
  • Experience working in an ambiguous environment with work requiring a quick turnaround to assist cross-functional teams in making decisions
  • Experience influencing multiple stakeholders to achieve a common goal
  • Experience learning SQL, Python or other data analytics programming languages

Preferred Qualification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience conducting risk-focused due diligence and/or investigations, intelligence analysis, or similar functions
  • Knowledge and understanding of current events, international affairs, and global geopolitical, cultural and social issues
  • Experience reviewing or being exposed to sensitive content, including topics related to child safety and dangerous organizations and individuals
  • Experience working with or for an Internet-based or technology company
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, Python or other data analytics programming languages
