The CDW Events and Experience Manager leads a team focused on developing and deploying the events and experience plan to support the efforts of CDW. This leader serves the evolving and growing needs of a complex department. They are responsible for providing overall leadership in training as well as partnering with external event logistics vendors and partners that support the overall CDW Events and Experience program.

  • Provides strategic direction and active leadership
  • Oversees the creation and management of a robust year-round calendar of a variety of event types
  • Partners with a variety of other CDW teams to oversee the Events and Experience plan
  • Develops training roadmaps ensure efficient and effective onboarding of new staff
  • Provides strategic direction and active leadership for centralized event logistics resources.
  • Provides oversight and budget management
  • Completes special projects as when applicable

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Lead a team of coworkers with responsibility of a diverse portfolio of event types
  • Administer all phases of the events and experience team
  • Create reports and forecasts to ensure department efficiency
  • Coach and train coworkers to reflect CDW stands and procedures
  • Establish and enforce team standards
  • Manage multiple 3rd party agencies
  • Ability to be creative and innovation the events and experience team

Education and/or Experience Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years events experience

Required Qualifications

  • History of financial responsibility, vendor management, contract scoping/negotiation and budget management
  • Proven project management experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with and present to all stakeholders with various degrees of technical expertise
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 years’ experience leading a team
  • Cvent or comparable event management platform experience
