Product Management: Core VR OS

The Product Manager will join the VROS team which is responsible for delivering a fully managed OS platform and tools to enable Virtual Reality (VR) device makers to build delightful experiences and valuable businesses. Delivering on this mission will offer customers the best destination for social, learning, work and entertainment experiences while utilizing the power of VR hardware to its full potential.Meta Product Managers work with cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, data scientists and researchers to build products. We are looking for extremely entrepreneurial Product Managers who value moving quickly.

Required Skills

Product Management: Core VR OS Responsibilities:

• Lead and own the VR OS component product strategy and solutions to extend VROS to support the next generation of VR headsets and input devices.
• Drive product development with multiple teams of world-class engineers, designers, and product specialists.
• Work closely with hardware teams and device teams to define and execute product roadmaps for the OS team and influence these teams with delivering a sustainable platform-centric product for Meta and Third-Party developers.
• Lead, impact and influence multiple cross functional partners driving alignment on strategy, resourcing, priorities, trade-offs, and execution utilizing knowledge and experience gained from a highly complex and similar environment in the past.
• Leads and motivates a team of engineers and other cross-functional representatives and maintains team health.
• Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm.
• Working in a highly technical environment with a broad, cross functional team to drive product vision, define product requirements, coordinate resources from other groups (design, legal, etc.), and guide the team through key milestones.
• Manage collaboration and communication with other teams, both internal and external, to ensure teams have what they need and can work efficiently.

Minumum Qualification

Minimum Qualifications:

• 8+ years product management or related industry experience.
• Requires a Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or a related field.
• Technical experience with analytical tools, methodologies, and design.
• Displaying leadership, organizational and execution skills.
• Experience with defining and owning product decisions with internal and external partners.

Preferred Qualification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience defining vision and strategy for platform and/or operating systems.
• Experience going through a full product lifecycle, integrating customer feedback into product requirements, driving prioritization and pre/post-launch execution.
• Experience recruiting and leading a cross-functional team of world-class individuals.
